Philosophy
We believe
that, in order to feel safe and secure to explore and learn,
children need consistent routines and strong connections with
Teachers/Care-givers. The strong, consistent Co-Teacher
relationship that’s in place here lays the foundation for a program
of highest quality. We believe in keeping the classroom stimulating
with fresh, new activities which invite exploring while allowing
some consistency for the sake of familiarity. Our learning
environment encourages children to talk, ask questions, interact
with us and peers, and express themselves through art, music,
dramatic-play, block-play, puppets, and a variety of other
activities. “Giving each child a place in the sun on a regular
basis” is an important part of our day.
Mission
Our mission is
to provide a child-centered, stimulating, fun and safe learning
environment. We see each child as an individual and strive to
respect and value the needs and differences of each child and
his/her family. We also draw on our experience as teachers (and
parents) to support our families in their parenting roles. We
foster a community where parents become friends and enjoy the
support of one another. We take every opportunity to celebrate
learning in children and share these important milestones with
families.
